The lot is near plenty of hiking trails.
Weather: The lot is at an elevation of about 3,400 feet, with pleasant and mild temperatures throughout the year. The area does get some snow in the winter.
Near Historic Area: This land is only a five-minute drive to historic downtown Murphys, with shops, restaurants, and the Murphys Historic Hotel. The hotel was founded in 1856 and hosted such guests as Ulysses S. Grant, Mark Twain, Horatio Alger, Susan B. Anthony, JP Morgan, and John Wayne.
Skiing: Only a 54-minute drive to the Bear Valley Ski Resort. Enjoy cross-country and downhill skiing during the winter.
Wine: There are over a dozen wineries in Murphys, according to Google, all within a distance of about five miles or less. Plus, there are numerous other wineries within ten miles, including the famous Ironstone Vineyard (only 6.1 miles or a 12 minute drive), which has a historic museum, wine bar, restaurant, concert venue, and gold panning area.
Caves: Caves are located within a short drive: Mercer Cavern, Moaning Cavern, and California Cavern State Historic Park.
Education: Avery Middle School, only 2.9 miles away, has a very high rating of 9 out of 10 for all schools in the state. The Vallecito Union School District has a very high rating of 8.
